Sandy Skoglund

Sandy was born in 1946, on September 11 in Quincy, Massachusetts. She studied both art history and studio art at the Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, she graduated in 1968. She also attended Sorbonne and Ecloe de Louvre in Paris, France in 1967. In 1978 Sandy discovered her interest for photography, and during this time the first cellular phone is introduced in Illinois and Space Invaders began to appear in arcades. Sandy most known for her photo, radioactive cats. Before Sandy became interested in photography she was initially working as a conceptual artist. Sandy is currently teaches art and photography at Rutgers University in New Jersey. What I like most about Sandy's work is that she was the only one on the list who actually seemed to have a bunch of color in her photos. I want to learn how to make the color in my photos more vibrant and I think that looking at Sandy's work could definitely inspire me to do that.
